Picasa/Gimp
Picasa is a free photo organizer that can do a little editing. Picasa is also a website where you can share your photos with friends.
The Gimp is a free photo editor that runs on Windows, Unix/Linux, and the Mac. See if you could use the Gimp instead of PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro.
Karen Hart will show us both Picasa and the Gimp.
